Hip Hop Education 4 Youth is a Educational Based Program that uses elements in Hip Hop to focus on trouble youth who struggles Socially and Emotionally and dealing with passed trauma in their lives. Partnering with the After-School and Community program in the Harrisburg Area to work with the teens in hoping to keep them in a safe environment, created projects to allow them to express themselves through the culture of Hip Hop.

Mission:
HHE4Y mission is to used Hip Hop as a way to improve behavior, learn to socialized through proper communication and enhance problem solving ,disputes and anger management through prevention and control.

Goal: (Our 7 main goals)
Preserving the foundation and Purpose of Hip Hop Ideology.
using Hip Hop as a way to express themselves through Dance, Music and Art.
Decreased Youth going in and out of the Juvenile Center.
Learning and Understanding Self-Worth and Opinion matters.
Listen and comprehend to identify the problem and Solving.
Learning to defused the Anger before it escalate.
Identify the problem and hold self accountable.

The Hip Hop Against Violence showcase Artist and Activist who are taking a stand to “Stop The Violence” and using Hip Hop as a tool to bridge the gap ,unified the Community, Schools, Educators through Assemblies Performances, Lectures and Workshop.

HHAV was founded in 2006 by Michele Hairston ,the first Hip Hop Educator and Historian in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. Ms. Hairston (Founder) notices the youth lack the ability to communicate through Positive Social Skills and Problem Solving. Over the years the Children and Youth behavior have become more Aggressive and Violent towards their peers. Most of the youth behavioral Problem stems from Lack of Social Skills, Poverty, Poor Educational Background, and Abused.

Hip Hop was founded on intervention and an educational resource to Stoping the Violences and Unifying gangs. Hip Hop Artist and Pioneers still intervene and help many of Disadvantage Youth throughout their Community, Schools and After-School Programs.

In 2008 the HHAV merge with the Jam Master Jay Foundation 4 Youth and Embracing A.R.M.S. both are 501c3 to expand the movement.

The Jam Master Jay Foundation for Youth, Inc. is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization, Co-founded by Connie Mizell-Perry and Marvin Thompson, the mother and brother of the late hip hop legend, The Jam Master Jay Foundation for Youth continues Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell’s legacy of creating and supporting educational and economic opportunities for youth and young adults from ages 6 – 21, and honours Mizell’s many contributions to hip hop culture and music history.

Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell (1965 – 2002) was a legendary hip hop DJ, a gifted musicians and music producer, an entrepreneur, a community activist, a philanthropist, and the greatest DJ in music history. In the 80s, during the height of his career and during the dawn of a new era of technology, Jam Master Jay’s use of the record turntable as a musical instrument forever established the DJ’s role as an integral member of the band.

A self-taught DJ, Jam Master Jay’s creative genius as an artist, turntablist, and producer set standards of innovation and excellence in the music industry that remain unmatched, inspiring millions to become DJs and music producers.

During his illustrious career, Jam Master Jay and his ground-breaking, Grammy Award-winning group RUN-DMC Saturday Night Live became hip hop pioneers, saturating popular culture while staying connected to urban America. RUN-DMC was the first hip-hop group to perform on NBC’s Saturday Night Live; the first to grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine; the only hip hop act to perform at LIVE AID; and the first to receive a product endorsement deal (Adidas).

Embracing ARMS, Inc. is a non profit organization established in 2005 by Dr, Danielle Hairston-Green who shared a passion for community development, social change, youth leadership and parent empowerment. Embracing Arms mission is to embrace the community by sharing knowledge, empowering our families, and implementing programs that can have a long lasting impact of the lives of our participants. Immortal Technique is a Hip Hop Activist from Peru, but raised in Harlem New York City. His Birth name is Felipe Andre Coronel. Immortal Technique is apart of the Guerrilla Republik, Universal Zulu Nation and also sign to Viper Records.

Immortal Technique is an Revolutionary Hip Hop Artist who started his career as a teenager. He would record himself and sell his songs in front of different stores but mainly Fat Beat. He have songs that represent what is going on in the world. He expressed in his lyrics are largely commentary on issues such as struggles, Socialism, Poverty, Religion, Goverment and institutional racism. Immortal Technique also build an orphanage with his own money in Afghanistan. Immortal Technique want to change the world through his music and tell people the truth on what is going on in the world.

The Bboy workshop is a class which target Students who lack in Social Skills ,Emotional and Behavioral Problems from grades 1st- 12th, we teach the basic skills of Foundation, Musicality, Fundamentals and more important the History of the original Hip Hop Dance.

Our Mission is to Bridge a Gap and promote a better Social and Communication skills through Breaking and Education System. Here is a small Documentary that was created by my 1st- 5th Grade Breaking Class in Harrisburg School District. Enjoy!

A Brooklyn native who love the Art of Graffiti Writing and a Bboy lives the life of a young Hip Hop Educator.  Tishiro Jones who is a bboy and a Graffiti Writer is apart of a crew called Star City Rebels and the Universal Zulu Nation Pennsylvania youth chapter called Zulu Bratz . Tishiro who is a twin enter the world of Hip Hop at the age of 10 following his oldest brother footsteps. He became a Graffiti writer by creating his own style and tagging in his black book.

Tishiro who teaches the elements of Bboying in the Harrisburg City School to youth from the ages of 8-13 years old learned the life of a Hip Hop Educator and using his knowledge which he was taught by other Hip Hop Educators and Pioneers . Tishiro is on tour with the Hip Hop Against Violence who partner with the Jam Master Jay Foundation and Embracing Arms Inc which both is a 501 C3 Non Profit, On the tour Shiro is battling his chapter member to display peace and unity through Hip Hop and the Art of Dance.  If you want to know more about Tishiro go to his Facebook page and requested him.
